First week in April!!!

It's the second week in April and so far this month has been busy . This past weekend we headed to Big Eddy which is between Vernonia and St. Helen's right on the Nehalem river. Our friends Tacy and Devon and Mariah were camping so we went out to fish and play. We brought a apple pie and it was eaten all up. Nate got to play with Boe who is 13 months as well. The boys had fun in the sand and swinging on the swings. Sunday we met the Lang Family at the zoo. We got to reconnect with Aaron, Casey and got to meet Reese who is 3 months old. We all had a great time at the zoo. Nate loved the polar bears. The big Elephant scared him he was on Daddys shoulders and was not a happy camper once the Big Elephant was coming towards us. This weekend we are heading back to the zoo for the easter egg hunt with Uncle Cory and Aunt Coral and Raylee and Destiny. Sunday on Easter we are going to see Aunt Gelene and Uncle Rick and the rest of the family. Grandma Shirlene is on her way right now from North Dakota to come visit for the week. I am back in school until June then I am taking the summer off for all our family trips.So far April has been a great month .. Hugs and Tater Kisses!

The Last Week of March!

Hallo All,

Wow March went by so so fast. This month we had a visit by Grandpa and Grandma Berk. Nate is doing so well in his new school. He has learned so many words and has brought home 5 cool art projects. This month we did ok in the health dept.... we managed only to have stomach issues while mommy had strep 2 times for almost 15 days in counting. We experienced new things this month we went to the children's museum and worked with clay and played with all sorts of different things... Nate even tried Grocery shopping.





Nate also visited the Tillamook Cheese Factory where he sampled cheese and has his first kids cone of Vanilla ice cream! It was a fun day.

Last night we also broke out the Play dough... NOT A GOOD IDEA... I have now a blue stain in my carpet... He also tried eating it along with the beagles trying to grab it off his new little table set from Ikea.....This week I go back to school for 11 weeks then off for the summer. We are looking forward to the coming week of dying Easter eggs and headed to the zoo for the big Easter egg hunt along with brunch at aunt Gelenes. Still sick!

So it's March... I have had Strep now 2 times since feb 27th.. Nate has a slight case of it as well. Travis broke a tooth yesterday and they ended up pulling it last night!!! My dad is here for a week of recording and working a bunch of gigs downtown . It's been a wild March so far.
I finish up my 2 classes next week and then off for a week and we start all over on 3/30...
My mom is coming the week of SPRING Break so that will be fun. This month we started our summer vacation planning which includes a beach rental in July, 2 camping trips June and Aug in a cabin and a Yurt and then off to LA to visit family and the LA Zoo and, Disneyland for nates 2nd time!!! More to come time to rest my temp is going down im at 99.1 yeah!!!...

Illness Runs Rampid

Well it's been a while since the last post. Lets see we have dealt with ear tubes for Nate's ears and then multiple colds. We got good news another 6 months before we head back to the Heart Dr. about surgery!!! Nate has started at his new Daycare which is very educational based. He is doing wonderful there. We have had a fun winter with travel to Las Vegas and California. Grandpa and Grandma have visited each month. The will be back next month for 2 different weekends. I am in school taking classes in which I am pulling B's at the Midterm point. I am finding it hard being a mom, working full time and school. I know am sitting here typing this with Strep Throat that came on overnight. Other than that I am on the road to recovery. We have 2 trips planned so far this summer one we rented a house at the beach for a long weekend and then in Sept we are heading to Sun River. We may also head to LasVegas for the 4th of July.. More to come soon.

Another Long Long Night

Can I just say My husband is a GEM!! He has slept with Nate on his chest the past two nights to comfort Nate. Travis has also taken care of me too because I have been sick also.
So .. You all know that a child whom is sick is no fun. Poor Nate has this new thing of sleeping from 7:30 ish - 11:00pm then gets up screaming crying. The last 5 nights he has had this pattern. We think he still is suffering from his ear infections, we are going back to the doctor tonight to see why Tots is becoming a night owl. He is happy all day at daycare. Anyone whose been through this please give us some tips to the Newbies!! 8 Days till he is 1!!!!

Double Ear Infections

For the past 2 days our family has been sleepy. Poor Nate's has been cranky and sick trying to recover from his cold. Thursday 8/14 we he slept 3 hours total. Friday night went down at 7 and woke up at 10. He was crying this whole time so we decided to take him up to OHSU on the hill.. ( We have re tared insurance this is the only place we can go) ie.. Travis is an OHSU employee.. Lucky us! We get up there in 40 min from the country. The waiting room is not that packed. So I figure 2 hours tops... Well there are tons of people coming in and out and some waiting people are moving in and out. They call us back for the vitals and I am thinking cool maybe an hour will be out of here... So at 2:45 am I ask the nurse how much longer.. "She says we have people back in the ER rooms and there waiting also I would says 6-8 hours" I was like " WHAT" I looked at Travis in that way that I do like going from nice wife to Enraged at OHSU.. I guess there policy for kids is that they can wait too. I guess in all honesty you have to be dying in order to see someone. So we can home slept for 3 hours. We woke up called the pediatricon and went in. Turns out Nate has double Ear infection.. He is now on all our favorite Bubble gum liquid... He seeming to be feeling better and we hope that we can get a full nights sleep.
